Afterward, her mother tied the knot to Greg Gisoni and since then she goes by Melissa Ziegler-Gisoni.
Besides her sister, Mackenzie, Ziegler also has two older half-brothers from her father’s side. Moreover, through her stepfather, Greg, Maddie has two older step-siblings. And while she is very close with her sister, it is unclear what her relationship with her other siblings is like.

In 2010, Ziegler performed in the reality program, Live to Dance, and the following year, she and her mother, Melissa starred in the first season of Dance Moms on Lifetime. Dance Moms is a reality show about young dancers and their mothers who were under Abby Lee Miller’s Abby Lee Dance Company Elite Competition Team. Maddie was one of the stars of the show and became known around the country for her dancing skills.

This was followed by her appearance in Big Girls Cry, completing a trilogy for Sia’s album 100 Forms of Fear.
