And by 1999 Katt had become an established comic having appeared on stage at The Comedy Club, The Improv, The Hollywood Park Casino, and The Ice House.
Williams starred in his first comedy special in 2006 titled Katt Williams: Live: Let a Playa Play. This was followed by his HBO stand-up special, The Pimp Chronicles, Pt. 1. His second HBO comedy special, It’s Pimpin’ Pimpin’ was released in 2008. He also went on a comedy tour that year which was named the best of 2008. After a four-year hiatus, Katt returned to their stand-up career and released Kattpacalypse, his third HBO comedy special.
The talented comedian announced his retirement in December 2012 but came out of it only three days later. He continued his stand-up comedy career and has released a few more specials for Netflix.
