This was also where Ivan Atkinson met his future work partner Guy Ritchie. The duo first connected at the jiu-jitsu class and became friends. Soon, Ritchie found out about Ivan’s love for the movies and his encyclopedic knowledge about them. Guy then offered a job and Atkinson started working for the English director.
Ivan reportedly worked as Guy’s driver, and jiu-jitsu coach and worked up to become his assistant. Atkinson worked in the 2011 movie, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and the 2015 film The Man from U.N.C.L.E. as Ritchie’s assistant. Then, the South African native worked as a production associate for the first time in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword in 2017.
The talented individual got the chance to work in the production business after Guy Ritchie and his producing partner parted ways. Since then, Ivan has served as the associate producer in Aladdin and a producer for Wrath of Man and The Gentlemen. Besides producing them, Atkinson was credited as a writer in the latter two films.
