The Netflix series Wednesday has broken the platform’s record as one of the most viewed shows, since its premiere in November 2022. Millions of people around the world have tuned in to know more about the popular character Wednesday Addams. The Netflix iteration focuses on Wednesday’s journey as a schoolgirl which has resulted in the introduction of many new characters as her schoolmates and the young actors who play them.
Among the many talented actors who starred in the show is Georgie Farmer. He plays the character Ajax Petropolus and has already found much fame from his acting journey. Where Is Georgie Farmer From?
The Wednesday star was born on May 26, 2002, and is from England. He has not shared much about his childhood and family. But there is no doubt that Georgie Farmer’s parents are very supportive of his acting journey.
Moreover, Farmer was actively involved in theater productions as a young boy. He starred in the 2011 production of Rest Upon the Wind at Tristan Bates Theatre, London, England. Georgie also played the character Toots in the National Theatre’s 2014 production of Emil and the Detectives. What Projects Has Georgie Farmer Worked On?
Aforementioned, Georgie Farmer started his acting journey early on starring in numerous theater plays. Following this, Farmer has been credited for his appearance in the television series, The Ministry of Curious Stuff in 2012.
Then in 2010, Georgie booked the part of Jake Crossley in the British show, The Evermoor Chronicles also known as Evermoor. He was among the main cast members and played an integral part in the show. Moreover, Farmer worked on the show from 2014 to 2017 and also starred in Evermoor Confidential Chronicles. In between his appearance in Evermoor, he also worked on the show Ill Behaviour.
Following the success of Evermoor, Georgie worked on many more projects. He appeared in movies, shows, and short films such as Ready Player One, Samira’s Party, Doctors, Treadstone, and Of Wolves and Lambs between 2018 and 2020. He also went back on stage to play Mark Brardley in the Bridewell Theatre’s production of For the Sake of Argument from January to February 2020. Furthermore, Farmer voiced the part of the wolf sibling in the 2018 film Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle.
While his former works helped Georgie establish himself in the industry, his prominence grew following his appearance in the hit Netflix series, Wednesday. Farmer played the character Ajax Petropolus, a Nevermore Academy student who is also a gorgon, on the show and appeared in all eight episodes. He stars alongside Jenna Ortega, Gwendoline Christie, Percy Hynes White, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, and Christina Ricci among others.
As of December 2022, whether Wednesday will return for a second season is unclear. But if it will have future seasons, there is no doubt that Georgie Farmer will reprise his part of Ajax. Moreover, with many more projects on the horizon, we hope to see more of the British star’s acting prowess.
