Many of Emily’s family members are reportedly involved in the theater business. Her grandmother was a wardrobe mistress on West End and Carey would help her pair socks backstage as a young girl. On IMDb, it has been mentioned that the actress’s great-uncle, John MacDonnell, and aunt Joanna MacDonnell worked in Holby City when she was just born. As a result, Emily was apparently featured in two episodes as a newborn.

In between her appearance in Casualty, Carey played Mary Conan Doyle in Houdini and Doyle and young Diana in Wonder Woman.
Furthermore, Emily Carey also appeared as young Lara in the 2018 film Tomb Raider. Following this, she played Bea in an episode of Turn Up Charlie and had a significant part in the TV show, Get Even in 2020. Carey’s first major role came in 2020 when she played the titular role Anastasia in the film, Anastasia. She also voiced Mila Starr/Mila 2.0 and Anne Frank in Monster Family 2 and Where Is Anne Frank respectively.
However, 2022 seems to be the year when Emily Carey’s popularity skyrocketed, since she played a significant part in The Lost Girls and voiced Young Eunie in the video game Xenoblade Chronicles 3. But her biggest role to date is portraying Young Alicent Hightower in the highly awaited Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon.
