Christopher Storer is a writer, producer, and director who has worked on many popular projects such as Eighth Grade, On the Count of Three, The Rental, Ramy, Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King, and more. He took over various roles in the aforementioned works but earned prominence after the release of the comedy drama The Bear in 2022. Chris is the creator, showrunner, and co-executive of the show.

The multi-talented filmmaker was born and brought up in Park Ridge, a Chicago suburb in Illinois. He grew up alongside his sibling, Courtney Storer in a very big Italian family for the first few years. However, after his parents went through a bad divorce, Christopher Storer’s sister stayed with their mother, while he was raised by their father. But even though they went through a period of estrangement, Chris and Courtney now share a close bond.
One thing that brought the Storer siblings back together was food. Before the dysfunction occurred, the Sunday family events were best due to the food and time together. Moreover, Christopher and Courtney have been each other’s support system not only in difficult personal things but also professionally.

When Did Christopher Storer Start His Professional Journey?
Christopher Storer started out his journey in the entertainment industry in 2010 as an associate producer in the short film Sticky Minds. The following year he served as the producer and director for the self-written short film The Blisters: How Four Became Three. Storer then produced the movie Adventures in the Sin Bin and directed an episode of the show, Rituals, both of which he also wrote, in 2012.
The Chicago native then worked on projects such as The Eulogist, The Nanny, Sense of Urgency, and Nick Lowe: Spotlight Roses. He directed two of Bo Burnham’s television specials, Make Happy and what. and also the 2017 special Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King. Christopher served as producer and executive producer for other projects, a few of which are listed below:

Chris also directed a few of the aforementioned projects and episodes of the series, The Comedy Lineup and Ramy, Little Voice, Matthew Davis Gets Grounded, and Dickinson. Then in 2022, Storer wrote, produced, and directed the comedy-drama, The Bear. He is the showrunner of the show and also served as the music supervisor.
