Bonnie Bedelia’s parents, Philip Harley Culkin and Marian Ethel Wagner Culkin reportedly guided her and her siblings into acting at one time or another.

Bonnie was reportedly born during a difficult financial period in her family. Her father, who worked in a public relations’ firm , had gone bankrupt and they had to live in poor condition. Sadly her mother, a writer and editor, passed away when Bedelia was only 14 while her dad also died shortly after. It is evident that she had had a difficult experience as a young child.
